Letter to t’Star

I always look forward to Matthew Smith's letters [Star 8/6] as he sounds a caring bloke - he is a Hillsborough lad like me and I sympathise with his views on libraries.

The news that Manor Lodge is reducing its opening hours seems another body blow to Sheffield's heritage despite the fact the Council has funded an extra conservation officer still Birmingham have only got half of one plus a worse graffiti problem than Sheffield.

What are Susan Richardson -Cyril Olsen and my old sparring partner over the castle site 'Jude -certainly not the Obscure''. Newton  doing these days? 'Lot of angst  over environment  and politics - issues closer to home resonate more with some of us.

Anyhow what a lovely project in the Pride of Lions - and let's not forget the variety of events in Sheffield's theatres.
