SYLVIA DUNKLEY Former Councillor and Lord Mayor

The very accurate portrait of the above former Lord Mayor reflected her many facets and achievements not the least her interest in heritage conservation.She was a great ambassador for the city and a lovely woman.Some years ago as part of the Anglo Galician Football Cup - a competition between the Bravo Porquos of Ponte Vedra  Galicia and the Sheffield Stags [see the plaque in the Fat Cat] The Galicians presented her an impressive tome reflecting the culture of their home -Sylvia sent across to Sheffield Scene [now sadly closed and replaced by another coffee shop] for a receprical volume and showed our Galician friends round the Lord Mayors Parlour and provided them with refreshments.They were truly 'chuffed'.
